Pros
A vast amount of knowledge inside the company, many of the older employees are experts in their field. Work on some very interesting projects for awesome clients around the world.
Cons
The running rule in the testing industry is that MTS makes good equipment, but has the worst customer service in the industry. There is a reason for this and it has to do with how the employees are treated in my opinion. The idea of a open culture to voice opinions or issues is a downright joke. Too many good people, myself included, tried to voice concerns and been openly threatened and harassed with being fired. There is a reason why this company has soo many older employees who are just running out their careers and so few young folks coming up the ladder. The turn over for younger employees is huge, the stick around for a few years and then realize that there are better options and quickly depart for greener pastures. Also how many pointless meetings are necessary to run a company? I quickly learned that the name MTS stands for "Meetings To Submission". Cut out half of the middle managers, most of the banal meetings and get back to your core values of serving the customer with the best possible products and support. When given an offer of $5000 bonus for referring people nobody in our department would stand up to recommend any of their friends to apply for a job. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what will.
