Pros

Relatively good work life balance because there are a lot of people Get to meet a lot of people from a lot of different functions/backgrounds Opportunity to attend conferences

Cons

It takes minimum of one year to fire someone who is a bad fit for the job. That brings down the rest of the team so much, the burden ends up falling on 1-2 other people. Management is not willing to hear out concerns on how team are organized, instead imposing a "my way or no way" approach. The "collaboration" with India office is abysmal from every 9/10 people I talk to, India office employees either 1) lack training or 2) are incompetent for the role but the company keeps them since they are 1/3 of the cost. Burden falls on the other offices to pick up slack, causing them to get burnt out and prefer to leave. Management thinks the way to solve this is by sending middle management (who know barely anything about day to day work) to India to train. Some managers are simply stupid and know nothing about technical work of the team, things like OHS survey or HR talks are simply a checkmark for the business with no tangible outcome.
