Pros
When I first joined Miro a year and a half ago, it was an amazing company. There was a palpable excitement and passion to working on the goals we were trying to achieve. I genuinely signed on each day excited to work. I remember being impressed at how the company conducted itself and lived its values. As time has gone on, this has started to change. During my time here, we experienced immense growth and went from about 700 employees (when I joined) to now 1900 and counting. I still think Miro could be a great place to work if it works on a few key areas of opportunity, some of which were done well at one point but have dropped to the wayside for one reason or another. If it continues down the wrong path, its reputation may take a hit as a good place to work... Pros: - great people, super smart & passionate -amazing product - our customers love us - global company - you can raise your hand to work on different projects and learn new things & meet new people
Cons
Cons: - no transparency/ meaningful communication from exec team: When I first joined this was not an issue but there has been a sharp drop-off unfortunately - disorganization : there are teams that are currently being restructured & cut back, they're being told they're too big. Why did we not plan ahead for this? - lack of commitment to diversity & inclusion: there are some loud passionate voices at Miro who are driving D&I efforts currently, but the exec participation is noticeably quiet - inflexible options for working: they are really pushing for everyone to go in office 2-3 times a week which is confusing because our product is a REMOTE collaboration tool
