Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, stock Free lunch twice a week, well stocked kitchen Great location

Cons

Top technical talent have jumped the ship Hiring engr and product executives from traditional ERP companies was a big mistake. They have stalled product innovation Technology is difficult to learn quickly. No mentorship. Total chaos, failing product and recurrent complaints from customers Most of the time spent fixing bugs Sales driven organization. Lot of money spent on selling and marketing than on building product Lack of genuine attention to gender and racial diversity in leadership roles. Promotion based on nepotism and not actual results

I’m sorry to hear your feedback about the team and our culture. This is not the norm for us, in fact, mentoring is critical for us, and we have several programs in place to ensure that this is happening. We have specific growth and training plans for each person on our team, and each manager works with individuals on what areas they want to grow in and how they want to achieve that growth. Our technology is difficult to learn quickly, so it’s true that there’s a lot to learn depending on what part of the platform you’re working on, but we’d never leave someone to fend for themselves. These mentoring programs are part of the reason that much of our top talent has actually remained with us over the past few years, and we’re experiencing consistent high growth, even expanding to a development center in Mountain View where we’ve hired machine learning experts to continue spurring innovation. As we ship multiple major features every quarter while simultaneously growing our customer and usage base, we have to look not only at feature function but also focus on quality and scalability, driving interesting challenges in feature development, as well as quality and scale in a large distributed system. There’s a lot going on here, it’s true, but never at the detriment of our people or our customers.

Pros

If you have great Core AEs, you get to do the fun part of sales which is selling. The product is good and we are constantly evolving our product. Salesforce install base and name recognition helps get you a lot of at bats.

Cons

SMB culture can be draining. There is less emphasis on being a strategic product expert and more on volume based selling. This may be where the business needs to go, but logging every minute of your day, being a great co prime, and functioning as a BDR is tough. There are also a lot of stellar performers and others on the exact same team who may have closed nothing.
