Pros

Flexible hours, low pressure, friendly colleagues and approachable heads of departments, not for everyone - probably better for graduates with limited experience in 20s and 30s, a lot of old school thinking remains that younger workers can be moulded.., but there is good experience for CV as you are thrown into deep end from day one so can learn lots of accounting skills

Cons

Quite a few personality clashes, some employees ruin the jobs for new recruits by always complaining about the job rather than looking for a new job if unhappy, repetitive work once you learn the ropes like most jobs

Pros

Great sense of purpose and meaning in the work. Colleagues are genuinely dedicated and supportive. Good variety of tasks day to day, and you gain a wide range of clinical and interpersonal skills quickly. Job security is a major plus.

Cons

Staffing levels are often stretched thin, which puts pressure on everyone. Pay hasn't kept pace with the demands of the role. Management can feel disconnected from frontline realities, and communication from the top down is inconsistent.
