Pros

Nothing to do with the company itself. 1. Other consultants - many team members I worked with are lifelong colleagues and friends.

Cons

Where do I begin? 1. Lack of culture. I worked for NTT via acquisition, and there was no clear communication on culture. Our attrition level post-acquisition wasn’t just bad - it was abysmal. People left in droves. It was one of the worst acquisition experiences I think I possibly could have had. Our benefits constantly changed, our pay cycle changed at least 3 times in 2 years, and our bonuses became non-existent. 2. Pay gap and gender: I can speak to my personal experience here, as I found out that a colleague of the opposite gender made nearly $20k more than I did, and he reported to me. I pushed for a pay raise and received $3500. That’s a far cry from the $20k gap, and it felt like hush money. Industry wise, I knew I could push for a larger salary - something I had NEVER focused on before, because all I cared about before was being connected to my work and being happy - but the NTT culture was so bad that I changed my focus to money more. I felt completely under valued, in every sense of the term. The pay gap here is at least 20% lower than other consulting industry competitors. I was told what a great asset I was to the company, but wasn’t paid accordingly. 3. While on maternity leave, NTT attempted to dishonor the pay that was promised to me. I was promised 8 weeks of short term disability in writing prior to my leave, and 4 weeks into my leave was told I would only get 6 weeks. I spent hours and hours of my personal time (when I should have been focusing on my newborn) trying to resolve the issue, and fought to be paid what I was promised. I did not get paid what I was promised. I was offered additional “PTO days” to attempt to resolve my frustration with a lack of paycheck, and given a fraction of the remaining balance - it was absolutely absurd and unethical. I resigned soon after I received a fraction of the remaining payment. It didn’t matter if I had a new job or not - no one should be subjected to that treatment. I will never recommend working at NTT DATA to anyone I know. Yes, I still admire some of my coworkers who choose to work there, but I chose to leave because of a number of reasons. The way I was treated during my medical leave was absolutely wrong. No one - NO ONE - should be treated that way.

None, Do not apply for this company

Cons

Bench Policy for consulting is a slap in the face. Within 2 months it has been changed twice, now you have 2 weeks to find new work for yourself and fulfillment gives you no help whatsoever. The turnover is so high that it is impossible to establish a network within the company, meaning you will be out on the street with barely any severance by the time you have completed onboarding.
