Where do I start? Let's see:
1. By far the WORST HR deptt. that I have come across in industry in my 10 plus years of experience. They almost NEVER respond to emails and messages. They have ZERO knowledge - they LITERALLY don't know ANYTHING - whatever you ask them, they either do not know, randomly redirect you to somebody, or worse, MISLEAD you. Even after escalation, NOTHING is done. There is no escalation matrix for HR, only a generic email id is given for escalations which is pretty much useless as all that happens in the end is that the concerned HR replies to your query with "Huh?". They have outsourced their payroll functions to a third party which is as USELESS as the in-house HR, so any query regarding payroll will just keep circulating endlessly between the two. The outsourced payroll web interface is PATHETIC to say the least.
The HR will tell you all sorts of rosy stories (all LIES) while trying to trap you during hiring and then post hiring you will be dumped in a project which has no relation to your technical experience.
2. They have this stupid concept of "partial" allocations of resources in projects which one of the most bizarre things that I have ever seen. They don't do this to everybody, but to whoever it happens is driven closer to the edge of insanity. Can you imagine a person whose time is split between different projects with rations like 50-50, 25-25-50, etc. They actually expect somebody to divvy up their 8 hours in these proportions and move from project to project throughout the day (which are, by the way, sometimes spread among far flung buildings - so the poor guy/gal actually has to shuttle from one building to another throughout the day). How can they expect somebody to focus and get anything meaningful done?
3. Many of the projects are complete and utter CRAP with obscure technologies. It almost feels like they take up garbage projects which have been rejected by other companies. Also, they have a habit of over-committing to clients and then pushing devs to pay for their sales/marketing team's mistakes.
4. Its located in pretty much the worst area (at least for an IT company) in Gurgaon.
5. Food and snacks in the cafeteria are the POOREST quality that I have come across. Make sure to bring lunch from home if you join this company.
6. They are now cost cutting on - of all things - DUSTBINS. Can you imagine where this company is headed?
7. Company transport is outsourced to Ola and Shuttl - which is pathetic as well.
I'm sure I'm missing a few but I think you get the picture. My advice? Stay the hell away from this company, except if you are an HR. If you are an HR here, you probably won't have to do anything except collect the paycheck, which is pretty good I must admit.
