      Nokia knows how to take care of their employees. The work at Nokia is interesting. You are surrounded by a lot of smart people.

      Cons

      Nokia market share keeps shrinking. Lately Nokia announced massive layoffs. There is an increasing pressure from the competition. Low presence in USA.

      Pros

      Decent starting salary, good benefits, generous PTO

      Cons

      1% raises forever. Last promotion I got to Principal had no raise but a bump in bonus percentage. Now they are giving kids 8-12% raises and they have less than 5 yrs. Once you hit about 5 yrs you will get the 1% a yr and be pigeon holed into a specific job. Then good luck trying to change.
