Pros
Worked with a great team. Good work/life balance.
Cons
I worked for Optum for 22 years and was laid off a couple of months ago. This was not the first round of layoffs in 2025, and appears it will not be the last. This is all coming down to money. Many long-term employees are being let go, and with them goes a wealth of knowledge and experience. Pay raises have been minimal over the last few years, like less than 3%, which is less than the cost of living increase. Ongoing reorganizations, which leads to inconsistency and layoffs.
