Pros

The people I work with are the best. They make it fun everyday.

So where do I begin. The SDR team is viewed so poorly at Own. No one higher up has any trust in this team. We our consistently bashed and never praised. The AE’s can barely ever book their own meetings and blame the sdrs for not getting them enough. There has been a lot of change management in SDR leadership from what I see. They just brought on a new director who is a failed RVP from what everyone has said. This is common theme in the sdr organization from I understand. They bring in failed sales managers to try to fix business development. I believe the company has to really dig in and figure out why this team is having such struggles. Most of the sdrs on the team work super hard. There isn’t much guidance from leadership, it’s basically a free for all on how we can get to our quota. I was excited to get a new director and at first it looked awesome. The more we get to know him, he doesn’t understand anything. We all feel like we are teaching him. I hope things change going into next year it’s been very hard to work here the last 3 months. Also mind you most of us here are under 6 months we shouldn’t be teaching a director how we do our job. We really need someone to step in and change things for the positive. The moral the last couple of months has really gone down. This job was fun when I first started now it seems like a total disaster.

Many of our successful salespeople came from the SDR team. We know collaboration between AEs x SDRs is essential. The newly reformed Revenue Enablement team is hard at work creating learning opportunities to help each team member be successful. The good news is that the SDR team has reported strong NPS scores, so while we are glad your experience doesn’t reflect that of most, we are committed to listening to everyone with valid concerns. If you’re open to it, we would like to hear more about your experience and discuss ways to enhance communication and teamwork between the SDR and AE teams to ensure a more cohesive working environment.
