Pros

Good pay and good benefits

Cons

Totally toxic leadership who don’t care about their people. RIFs are going on “scorched earth”. Getting rid of really great leaders and leaving the ones in place that are out of physical Philips locations who have egos the size of planets and just play continual politics. This “we are better together” stance requiring everyone to go into an office is either a way to get people to quit so they don’t have to pay severance or just a complete lack of trust in their workforce. Requiring long commutes just to report to an office is non-value add, a huge negative impact on work/life balance and required here even though it’s been proven over and over again that remote workers are more productive, work more hours and are happier.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
