Great opportunity to learn about the development of Medical Devices in a fast growing company [Philips Oral Healthcare], that is both separate from as well as part of, a much larger company [Philips Electronics] in compliance with Quality System Regulations. Pockets of truly inspired and very intelligent people can be found in most of the departments and functions that make up the company.
Cons
Being part of a larger company sometimes results in Philips Corporate forcing processes that do not add value and ways of working that dilute rather than increase focus and efficiency. A significant portion of the employees has become expected to put in long hours, in some cases resulting in unsatisfactory work-life balance.
