Pros

People who are passionate about delivering cutting-edge technological innovations for healthcare providers and their patients. A strong history of technological innovation. Strong brand recognition outside the USA. The employees truly care about one another! Even with all the challenges the company faces Philips is a great place to work!!

Cons

The healthcare industry has evolved dramatically over the past six years. Philips was positioned to lead the industry into that evolution however selected to stick with what had worked in the past under the belief the market was not ready and continuing to segment the healthcare portfolio into highly specialized sales channels would generate greater financial returns. Now the industry has consolidated and standardized and evolved beyond Philips's go to market structure and leadership is struggling to re-position its segmented sales channels and repackage its higher cost solutions as economically viable in an industry where "good enough" now still means good health care results.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
