Pros

The people and the diversity they represent Flexible hours Many experienced coworkers to learn from Casual dress if at a tech center

Cons

eat or be eaten philosophy for advancing chemical engineers are valued above all others and are started at management level while others have to work extremely hard to get to the same place so many rigid rules, slows down everything Even though the majority are introverts this is an extrovert rewarding company, It seems the louder you complain and the more obnoxious you are then you are pretty much guaranteed advancement, no understanding for introverts who end up doing a lot of the work

Pros

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Cons

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
