I gained great, valuable experience but career advancement in good timing is not realistic and I had to leave. - R&D Researcher Procter & Gamble Employee Review

Pros

Great knowledge and training, great work/life balance options/understanding, great experience, good benefits

Cons

Career Advancement (career system) is blocked. You cannot advance your career at a normal pace due to hundreds waiting for a promotion. They do not value Chemist at all. They revolve career and management around Engineers. They like to hire from ivy league schools and recruit same type of people over and over. Everyone is trained to work and carry out their work an exact way. You do not have a lot of diversity when it comes to work styles, experience, etc. PAY is average.

Pros

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Cons

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
