Pros

Great Benefits, some flex time, good pay

Cons

When I was hired I thought I hit the lottery. I wanted to work there all my life. I knew many people retired who said it was like family and didn't feel like work. Well, that changed. Now it's a Cold atmosphere, they don't even look you in the eye with a "hello", too much yelling, slamming objects and insulting people in meetings. No recognition for going above and beyond work expectations, their merit system is a flat score for all. And be prepared to be extorted into completing a six sigma project within a year or you get the boot. Also you signed up for a lot of travel and being away from your family which means a stressed marriage, so plan on some time with your spouse when you're home.

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
