Pros
- Good benefits - Some jobs have good work life balance (although people are getting more stretched year over year) - Cross functional teams are enjoyable to work in - Job stability
Cons
- Management is out of touch and micromanages throughout the businesses and within the functional matrix - Difficult to find meaningful and challenging finance positions (a lot of positions are centered around report generation and consolidation of data) - Sandbagging is encouraged over accuracy - Have often heard the phrase "people are lucky to have a job" - this has led to a lot of high potentials leaving the company for better positions because they were unable to progress without "putting in their time"
