Pros
A technology based company, Raytheon products support first responders in emergencies, protect the lives of servicemen and women, facilitate safe travel and other efforts an employee can be proud to have contributed to. The company has multiple sites across the United States, and hires for engineering, manufacturing and multiple functional disciplines. Raytheon promotes core values, and is committed to diversity and inclusion.
Cons
The company leans to the conservative, however, this allows Raytheon to perform with consistency. In terms of talent acquisition, requisitions for new hires tend to be written for a siloed approach (for example, to be successful, a candidate must possess X years within the silo; someone with transferrable skills may be "screened out" if their experience comes from another discipline)--not that this is any different than industry peers. Lateral moves for rotational development require a creative approach.
