Pros
Fantastic benefits and above average pay. Flexible work schedule can be a benefit. Upward mobility only if you are willing to relocate (Boston, DC, LA, TX ect.). JPS products are truly the best in class
Cons
JPS was a private commercial company acquired by Raytheon 10 years ago or so. Raytheon is a huge defense contractor. JPS is one of a couple commercial entities. JPS is less than 50 employees compared the 80K plus employees at Raytheon. Raytheon follow Federal rules to the letter. This has all put eliminated the JPS brand name. The Raytheon website is focused on solving high level problems. Our products are routinely removed from the Raytheon website which are buried anyway. It has taken months to make changes but JPS is so low of a priority that it never gets done. Years of poor management decisions have left products near the end or their life cycle with no real idea what to do. Current market (public safety) is saturated and spending is in decline. No marketing support results in limited marketing materials and no research into new market spaces. Depend on a distributor for any kind of web presence. Don't have enough sales people. Channel partners are under achievers with a few exceptions.
