Pros

Good opportunity for entry level to build functional skills and experience with a resume building company.

Cons

Do not be fooled, the bottom line is the only thing that matters- you do not. The culture is toxic. Everyone is expendable at every level. Company has no loyalty to employees, all are considered replaceable. At a certain level you will spend 90% of your time playing politics. Raytheon is not a meritocracy, it is a hierarchy. The company does not give market acceptable internal raises and promotions- HR views upward movement as a favor to you, not earned. Don’t sacrifice your personal life to be married to a job at Raytheon. In fact, once you learn what you need to learn, take that knowledge and go be successful somewhere else.

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
