Pros

Remote work, there's near nothing else. It's a paycheck.

Cons

There is no room for growth even though they promise it at the start of your time at Raytheon. And there's no incentive to perform even mediocre at your job because everyone you interact with can barely perform in theirs. The managers dismiss any legitimate concerns and criticisms for the organization, and instead prioritize busy work and over complicating procedures. All of the organization have been demanding an increase in salary because of the inflation rate growth, only for the CEO to send an email saying our concerns aren't legitimate, and to deal with it. It's nice to know your managers don't care about your concerns as long as their pockets are lined from fat bonuses. Since 2020 Raytheon can't retain employees due to their asinine COVID vaccine mandate and subpar compensation package. Many employees have left for competitors purely because of compensation, and Raytheon can't keep up with the losses. Save yourself the effort and look elsewhere for a position. If you have absolutely no other option, plan to stay here a year and run, that's what most do anyways. And if you were curious about the benefits, there's near none. You have only one option for health insurance: you either have their choice of an HSA or none at all. And there's very little in bonuses every year, mediocre pennies distributed to the plebeians that make their organization run.

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
