Pros
Lots of experience and the ability to move around to different areas, even functions. This is mainly due to the lack of retention of quality people. Basically if you’re a warm body, you’re valuable.
Cons
Your experiences don’t amount to much when it comes to transitioning out of RB. You might find yourself feeling lost in a well run organization; We call it being “reckittized.” Little focus on people development and the disorganization starts at top down. Upper management seems lost and just as confused as their subordinates. Promotions are generally based on who you know and the latest agenda. Don’t be surprised if someone with far less experience than you is being compensated much better. Global agendas destroy the local business. Company can use a PMO because projects generally are painful.
