Pros

Many divisions and moving from one to another is encouraged for employee development. Sanofi has invested heavily in resources to develop its people, in addition to encouraging experiences in different divisions. There is a deep benefits package. The 401K is very good. Most everything else is average. There are a lot of nice, not great, added benefits. For the most part the products are solid

Cons

The company culture is drowning in all that is "Big Pharma". Loads of bureaucracy, policies and politics. The paranoid, fearful attorneys paralyze the sales force with fear to the point that most people are afraid to send an e-mail. Politics run amok so that it damages the ability to have forthright communication. Creativity and solution oriented thinking are suffocated by the abundance of protocol, politicking, "compliance", and overarching fear. As far as compensation, a couple of divisions are at the high end of average and others, such as diabetes, are at the low end

Pros

You Learn a lot about GMP/Pharmaceutical Industry since its heavily regulated by the FDA. The pay is good for the position.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly for contractors. Training is generally restricted to the specific process equipment required for assigned tasks, with little opportunity for broader skill development. Additionally, the workplace culture can be challenging. Some long-tenured employees appear to feel entitled to treat others disrespectfully, creating a toxic work environment. Their seniority often seems to shield them from accountability, as concerns raised with management frequently go unaddressed. There also appears to be a lack of diversity and inclusion, which contributes to workplace microaggressions, disrespectful behavior, and an environment where not all employees feel equally valued or respected. There is limited opportunity for contractors being hired on a full time basis, they have to leave the company for six months before they can be hired back! No company benefits for contractors!
