Pros

1) It is a big company, there are a lot of opportunities for transfer; 2) All the HR processes (eg. days off) are quite simple and their simplicity is being continuously developed; 3) There are opportunities for further edication - courses, conferences etc.; 4) There is indexation of salaries: during 3 years working I had it two years while inflation rates were growing most quickly; 5) You have opportunities to have really big salaries, depending on your manager, team, and your own initiative, of course; 6) All you need for your work is provided: equipment, flexible terms (including remote work), and the ability to work from a different region within the company for up to 90 days per year; 7) There are opportunities to deal with your problem in a company: I was completely burnt out but didn't want to leave, so my manager found an opportunity for me to work a 4-hour week for two months.

Cons

1) There is absolute chaos in many processes and service improvements often lead to increased chaos; 2) There are often political changes when products and teams are transferred between departments and management changes. It seems like upper management wants to initiate changes but struggles to find effective solutions, while lower management tries to balance confliction demands from multiple stakeholders; 3) Cyber security leaves no air for employees and usually in projects where it is not justified; 4) There are projects and teams that develops unnecessary technical decisions (maybe in order for employees not to lose there working places, I worked in 2020-2023). The company is overstaffed, so being hired there a candidate should understand that some day reduction of the staff will be started; 5) Employees should be patient and philosophic as bureaucracy, chaos, and stringent cybersecurity measures can often lead to frustrating delays. Once you get the necessary access, you may need to obtain additional permissions for another system. It is common that during the access provisioning process, a required field might be overlooked, resulting in partial access. This issue often only becomes apparent after a related incident occurs, and resolving it can take up to a week of stressful troubleshooting; 6) There's a lack of overarching management strategies. When promoted to a management position, individuals often rely solely on their own experiences, projects, and teams to gain knowledge. In my team, project managers were ineffective, leaving new managers to fend for themselves without proper guidance or training (or training them the way they manage) 7) Employee's evaluation system depends on team and project; there are standards but diffuse; 8) Many basic products used for external products and services are comparable to poorly made bicycles. It seems like the goal is to have sber-something: sberbook, sberplatform etc. no matter of its quality; 9) Large-scale meetings, where strategies and critical updates are supposed to be discussed, often resemble circus performances more than productive business gatherings. These events frequently feature celebrity guests and even include sessions with religious leaders.
