Pros

Great culture within peers Very supportive of work/life balance, particularly for parents Lots of opportunity for upward mobility, as the company is really built on home-grown talent

Cons

Way behind on product development, and when they DO release anything new, their launch is subpar and poorly involves the sales force. Organization is VERY political and even admits to being so. If you are a high performer, hitting all metrics, even blowing out your revenue number- you will be given a poor review if you fail to network with the right directors and establish a politically strong image. Make the right friends, you'll move right up. Laughable "He for She" initiative. I've addressed my own salary inequity head-on, as I made 8-10% less than my male counterparts that had significantly less career experience. I was told I needed to "sell" my manager on why I should receive a salary adjustment. Only a matter of time before the old guard of APC is kicked out. APC is a cash cow, and the boys club is getting paid way too much to be running a cash cow organization. Schneider has given them more than enough time- they will step in and slash operating expenses, as they should.

Pros

- Decent pay and good benefits - work truck with gas card -good experience

Cons

- management is disconnected from field employees - review process does not reflect employee performance since managers do not go out in field in order to properly assess job performance - poor communication which leads to chaotic project implementation - no standardization of necessary info for each customer site. You walk in completely blind each time you visit a customer you’ve never been to - safety is important, but corporate pushes redundant messaging so frequently i believe it has the opposite of the intended effect - forced to wear long sleeves FR shirts in hot weather even when you are not exposed to fire hazards any more than a standard office employee
