Pros

APC has great people to work with for good compensation. Not a lot of politics at the lower levels. The people you work with have families and so it's a relaxed environment. The people are in it to do a good job, go home to their families.

Cons

Company is not loyal to employees. They treat you well as long as they need you, however they will lay you off if convenient for them despite stellar job performance. Recently with the merger with Schneider Electric, this has become a more common occurrence. I hope that things settle out in the future.

Pros

Strong exposure to complex, high-value technical projects with cross-functional coordination across engineering, vendors, and clients. Opportunities to lead end-to-end project execution, from planning through commissioning and testing. High level of ownership and visibility, with meaningful impact on critical infrastructure and system integration.

Cons

High workload and competing priorities across multiple projects can create scheduling pressure. Coordination across multiple stakeholders and dependencies can lead to delays outside of direct control. Some processes and tools could be more standardized to improve efficiency and reduce rework.

Pros

- Decent pay and good benefits - work truck with gas card -good experience

Cons

- management is disconnected from field employees - review process does not reflect employee performance since managers do not go out in field in order to properly assess job performance - poor communication which leads to chaotic project implementation - no standardization of necessary info for each customer site. You walk in completely blind each time you visit a customer you’ve never been to - safety is important, but corporate pushes redundant messaging so frequently i believe it has the opposite of the intended effect - forced to wear long sleeves FR shirts in hot weather even when you are not exposed to fire hazards any more than a standard office employee
