Pros

Most people are nice, ASCO was a great place to work before Schneider took over. It was fun and exciting. Management respected out-of-the box thinking. Then it all changed when Schneider took over.

Cons

7 of us got laid off in October 2019; all in age-protected status. In a "2-for-1" sale format, the next week they had a hiring event for young workers. They offered us 'hush money' in the form of severance packages if we would shut up for 6 months they would pay us bonuses they owed us anyway. Well, they still did not pay out all the bonus money. Look at their website and notice the % of older workers, you will see my point. They took certain people, all younger workers, mostly minorities, and treated them lavishly. Even if their work was not outstanding. They say they are trying to groom next generation leaders. Maybe, but they are ignoring experience and talent for good press and photo ops.

Pros

- Decent pay and good benefits - work truck with gas card -good experience

Cons

- management is disconnected from field employees - review process does not reflect employee performance since managers do not go out in field in order to properly assess job performance - poor communication which leads to chaotic project implementation - no standardization of necessary info for each customer site. You walk in completely blind each time you visit a customer you’ve never been to - safety is important, but corporate pushes redundant messaging so frequently i believe it has the opposite of the intended effect - forced to wear long sleeves FR shirts in hot weather even when you are not exposed to fire hazards any more than a standard office employee
