Pros

great pay. good hours. overtime. IBEW. good location and parking.

Cons

mal-mentally suitable (would use other word but word filter wouldn't let me) management. If you aren't already trained on their equipment already (Schneider) or have experience with spaghetti noodle wiring wouldn't join. quit a job to go work their as well some other's also joined from out of state. 2 out of 3 got fired with made up stuff. Management after consulting others will decide if they actually want to hire you 2 months after they hire you and then verbally berate you, tell you to do something when you don't have the tools for it. tell you to do something and then use it against you later like they didn't tell you to do it. any complaints will have repercussions immediately. Training on their equipment will not happen despite what they tell you. They will take you somewhere secluded to yell at you. They will make any mishap your fault. If they don't like you on a personal level, you will be fired. management is paid a lot and get fired a lot. they average 2 years there is what i was told. You will get thrown under the bus there. but if they pay is what you're after 33 dollars an hour is what you will be stuck with for longer than what they say. they will say 41 in a few months. nope. they are in a hiring spree right now. good luck there if you don't heed my warning.

Thanks for the detailed review. I’m glad pay, hours, overtime, and the union environment were positives. What you described about management conduct and training is not the experience we want. A few points to clarify: Respectful behavior is a requirement. Yelling, intimidation, or retaliation for raising concerns is not acceptable and is investigated when reported. Training and safe access to tools are manager expectations. New hires should have clear instructions and support to do the job safely and well. In represented roles, pay and progression follow the collective bargaining agreement and role criteria. Leaders are expected to apply those rules consistently. We review site feedback, grievance outcomes, and exit input to coach leaders and correct issues. Thank you for sharing your perspective. It helps us address problems and improve how teams onboard and lead.

Pros

- Decent pay and good benefits - work truck with gas card -good experience

Cons

- management is disconnected from field employees - review process does not reflect employee performance since managers do not go out in field in order to properly assess job performance - poor communication which leads to chaotic project implementation - no standardization of necessary info for each customer site. You walk in completely blind each time you visit a customer you’ve never been to - safety is important, but corporate pushes redundant messaging so frequently i believe it has the opposite of the intended effect - forced to wear long sleeves FR shirts in hot weather even when you are not exposed to fire hazards any more than a standard office employee
