Pros

Working at ServiceNow is genuinely fulfilling. I get to collaborate across time zones with passionate, talented colleagues who care deeply about our people and our purpose. One of the things I love most is how ServiceNow lives its values. I’m proud to be involved in our Employee Belonging Groups (EBGs) and to serve as a Culture Champion, helping foster inclusion, connection, and authenticity across the business. These programs aren’t just buzzwords - they’re embedded in how we work and show up for each other. Leadership is transparent and empowering, and I feel trusted to lead meaningful projects that make a difference. Working at this rocketship, there’s always plenty of projects to throw yourself into! ServiceNow invests in its people, celebrates wins, and encourages growth. It’s a place where you can do your best work, be yourself, and feel part of something bigger. Love the extra Wellbeing Days - they are very much appreciated!

Cons

There aren’t many downsides to working at ServiceNow, but like any fast-paced company, there are a few things to be mindful of: Learning & Development: There are fantastic opportunities to grow and learn - whether through formal programs or stretch assignments. The challenge is carving out time to take full advantage of them in a busy environment. Career Progression: The promotion process can feel lengthy and complex at times. That said, there are plenty of leadership opportunities and ways to expand your impact beyond formal titles. Pace & Intensity: It’s a dynamic, fast-moving workplace. The pace can be intense, which may not suit everyone—but if you thrive in a high-energy environment, you’ll find it incredibly rewarding.

Pros

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Cons

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
