Pros
You will get to work with some of the smartest and technically sound people. There is a wide range of people with different backgrounds and experiences that you can learn from. Work can vary, sometimes you can be very busy and other times you may have nothing to work on. Best advice to give people is to try and be as proactive as possible, however that can be challenging as a remote employee.
Cons
From my experience there, moving out of a technical role is not the easiest to accomplish. Most management roles that are posted by hiring managers, tend to have a pre-selected candidate in mind for the role. While this may be the case at most companies, it doesn't seem to matter what you have done in the past at another company, or skills and education you have obtained, only what you have done at Siemens PLM matters to hiring managers. If building a career here is for you, then just be aware of that upward mobility is VERY challenging. If staying in a technical role is your professional goal or aspiration, then you can easily sustain a career here.
