Pros
This is a good place to work because they don't do frequent layoffs. When they do layoffs it's usually sub contractors first. Most employees are friendly and will share knowledge with you. Lots of people with 10, 20 even 30 years with the company.
Cons
Pay is lower than the industry. There isn't a workload balance between departments. For example if you are in the Services Org you can expect to work 50+ hours a week (including traveling to customer sites) while other organizations have more realistic work-life balance. In the Services Org you are frequently asked to work undocumented overtime to keep projects on track. Every year, Quarters 1-3 are all about our great numbers and then in Quarter 4 the future looks bleak right when they do annual reviews. Direct line managers have little say in what your annual increase will be - it's always a bucket of money that has to be shared amongst the team. You can be promoted within your job category, but it's very hard move/promoted to something new. A lot of the typical red tape you find in huge companies
