Pros

German technology famous products like Switchgear, Transformer, panel etc Made in Germany Being a technical you can get product knowledge. (people get product knowledge and then joining ABB, Philips, GE)

Cons

1. Issues in Leadership 2. Issues in Indian Senior Management (both German and Indian managers) 3. Old generation/freak out of south Indian managers 4. Less career opportunity 5. Worst human resources 6. Feedback about India country Management is poor 7. Salary is not up to the market standards and company is using old technology compared to other companies 8. Business prospect of the company are not so good. 9. Each Local Business Unit is an independent company by itself. Hence a wrong person @ LBU manager role has the potential to spoil the work environment despite a good organization in the top 10. Discrimination like Marathi/South Indian/North Indian/Bengali – Especially South Indian peoples do discrimination with others 11. Always there is threat of downsize 12. At any point of time country management stops you at entry gate and asked for resignation else threaten for termination 13. Being a technical portfolio spent maximum time in the office 14. Employee morale issues 15. Less Loyalty 16. Project are always running behind the schedule 17. Less profit margin 18. Commercial – Payment invoices are pending even after due date reason is shipping documents are not available at site 19. Managers are not reliable/Unfaithful 20. There is a stealing at site such as scrap material etc…. 21. Misappropriation in site payment vouchers 22. Unstable career

Pros

Competitive pay, flex vacation/ PTO

Cons

Organizational restructuring seems more frequent than other companies I’ve worked for. Constant changes in processes. In four years I’ve seen change in incentive plan twice and not for the better even though they’ll tell you it is. You can make great money in sales still. Corporate alignment of rollouts of product timeline v. actual reality in the area level.
