Lots of work. If you willing to grow your career, you will loose your work Life balance. Even you work hard those will not be evaluated in year end compensation. Even county has huge inflation, they don't care and give you same small increment, which makes you total compensation is reduced in US dollars. HR representative doesn't know about how inflation works, and I had to explain HR and Managers how inflation works in country and I have to use my salary to eat food and my day to day activities. Even you have experience and you are a hard working employee you will get a small deviation from others, they don't respect your hard work and experience. You have to wait for in the queue for promotion, all promotions are based on age. Also manager accept that inflation is not addressed in compensation and not willing to help employees. All based on politics. Also you will get the same salary as lower experience employees even you work hard and make positive impact to the company. Application engineers are not much valued and discriminated against RnD Engineers.
