Pros
- THE PEOPLE. Tableau does a great job at hiring people who are great to work with and are dedicated to their jobs. - Benefits. Fantastic health insurance, ESPP program makes up for the lame 401(k) match, free food is a great perk. - Interesting product and industry, company is growing and doing well. - Very nice buildings and facilities.
Cons
- Lack of career growth. Be prepared to stay in the role you were hired to do. And if you are offered a promotion, you will be low-balled on the salary. - Pay. Expect to make 20% less than your peers in other companies. This used to get slightly evened out by stock grants, but those have gotten much less generous. - Parking is a huge pain.
