Pros
Relaxed working hours. Best Work Life balance in IT industry. If interested in higher studies or any other technology, you have ample time to prepare and make a switch in your career. Very good company if you have been in industry for more than 5 years.
Cons
A lot to say. The company is not for freshers despite the fact that it is the highest recruiter from engineering colleges in India. 90 % projects are support projects. Support projects are hell especially for a person who has spent 4 years studying engineering. It is not at all a place to stay for more than 2 years. The environment makes people sluggish and reluctant to do any work. The head count is very huge. Gaining recognition will take a long time. The biggest issue is that it recruits graduates in campus drive claiming that they will be offered jobs in core related projects and the branch of TCS is called 'Engineering and Industrial Services'. It shows a dream that it is an elite sector and only 9000 out of 3 lakh employees are a part of it. In TCS, none of them holds true. People in EIS are being tagged to support projects and literally there is no difference between an IT guy and EIS guy. SO if you are joining this company just because you have got a job in TCS EIS, go for it only if you do not have a better choice.
