Pros

1. Job security 2. Onsite opportunity 3. No competitive or dominative mentality in team 4. No office politics 5. Work life balance is good 6. Work culture is good

Cons

1. Below average yearly increment 2. Low career growth in terms of money 3. No work from home, fully work from office 4. Before 2 years you are not eligible to change your project 5. No possibility to take release from project once allocated 6. If you are in probation period or you are a trainee or you are an permanent employee all the cases you have to serve 90 days notice period, no negotiation. 7. No cab service, in 1pm to 10pm shift only drop is available and in night shift(9pm to 6am) only pickup is available that too you need to apply in the portal before 3 days. 8. You will get performance pay every three months. It is an average company for average people, not for technical experts. once you leave the company, you can not join again in your life as per policy, if you rejected the offer or did not accept within 7 days of offer release, you are blacklisted forever.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
