Pros

1. A Good Company with a Good Brand name. 2. Respectable organisation 3. Job security

Just being less than 6 months into the company I cant give much inputs, Comapny might be good in general but the experience till here has been worst ever with the manager where they have the full control. Following are some points (may be specific to just few managers but they make the work life very bad) 1. Very BAD Managers / GL 2. Typically the BOSS type (BOSS is Always RIGHT), they really need programs on how to handle pressure. 3. Manager really bully you they use bad words to / in fromt of girls. Even when I mentioned the exact word in comments Glassdoor did not allowed me to submit the page. Imagine how worst TCS managers / GL are. 4. Lack of Leadership, mentoring from Managers 5. Feeling distrusted and not valued 6. A BAD Managers really makes the employee Mentally and Physically ill 7. No transparency, if employee needs to be sent to client location the employee is not pre informed about the travel. 8. Attitude of managers adds to a lot of pressure and bad work environment. 9. Deep dirty politics. Infact managers senior should stop it rather then giving FUEL to it. 10. Majority of managers are like this as heard from other employees; some are worst .. one as mine 11. Completely unhappy about 10 (9+1) working hours as told by managers (heard for first time). and what 10 working hrs means are we humans or machines. Ideally it must be 8 and half and there must be flexibility with growing pressure in IT industry.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
