Pros
Strong leadership from Finance, HR and IT organizations. They will recognize talent and encourage professional development. Lots of opportunities to move around to different divisions, departments, and geographies. Fair compensation but good benefits.
Cons
More opportunities to move sideways than up the ladder. Very political organization at the corporate headquarters. Leadership team forces geographic moves on employees due to hiring needs at the large number of isolated office locations (think holding company). Very active in the strategy department, meaning risk of site divestiture or consolidation.
