Pros

Work from home. Vacation budget.

Cons

You are laid off if you’re on the bench. Projects are mostly staffing-based, with no real sense of belonging. There is a general trend to move jobs to cheaper countries. Raises are decided by a committee. They are driven by gender gap and band position, less by individual performance. Unclear direction, overall sense of decline, chaotic management. Communication focuses on hard metrics that don’t mean much to employees (e.g., utilization percentage), instead of things people actually care about, like new clients, delivered services, or innovation.
