Pros

Relax, fun environment. Hip and cool offices, nice and smart people. Decent benefit package and mostly supportive culture. Their focus on social change and climate emergency is admirable.

Cons

The company doesn't share the rewards equally and there is no career progression/structure unless you want to dig for it. Outside professional services, the teams are not very high performing not there is an appetite building high performing teams. For the same role, you can earn way less than your counterpart, even if you have more experience. When you challenge this, they don't give you a concrete answer or even a pathway to achieve a grade/pay rise. The CFO and most of their senior leadership team haven't really worked anywhere else during their career (some of them only ever worked for TW) so they don't really understand how certain things should be organised/structured. Their inclusivity is mainly focused on LGBTQ, which is limited. Nothing concrete for different ethnicities for example. They keep praising their feedback culture but most people only enjoy hearing positive feedback.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are happy that you enjoy our culture and appreciate our supportive network of Thoughtworkers. We are glad to hear you also appreciate our focus on social change and climate emergencies. Salaries can vary depending on role, experience, and market; we review salaries annually to keep pace with market rates which are currently not below the market. It would be great if you could share the areas you see untruthfulness in the salary and promotion evaluations directly with your trusted people manager / direct manager. This is something we take very seriously and indicates a deeper issue. Your direct feedback would help a lot! For this you can contact our HoP, Claire Spurdell directly. We are sorry to hear that you are not getting the support and appreciation you need. We really encourage you to talk to someone you trust. This could be your manager, your local people representative, your mentor or your cultivator and we encourage you to be honest with your feedback, and like you say not just praise! Again - thank you for this feedback. Zoe - Community Manager

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.
