Toxic work culture You will only be promoted if u suck up to your boss, you actual performance will never be considered. I was widely believed that my team lead was having an affair with on of my colleagues, and every possible effort was made to make sure I leave so that she can be promoted. I was even threatened by my boss to keep quiet else face to consequences. I had over 15 referrals from colleagues stating my good performance yet my position was given to the lady in question and I was side lined
