Pros
My time as a Business Management Analyst within the Risk department at UBS was a genuinely rewarding experience. The role itself provided a unique and strategic view of the bank's operations, offering excellent exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to influence key decisions. I was able to build valuable skills in project management and stakeholder engagement. The work was intellectually stimulating and the compensation was in line with market expectations. I am grateful for the professional development and connections I made during my tenure.
Cons
Unfortunately, my time at UBS came to an end due to redundancy following the acquisition of Credit Suisse. The takeover created a period of significant uncertainty and anxiety across the firm, which ultimately impacted morale. While the role was strategic, the job security proved to be fragile in the face of such a large-scale integration. The communication around the restructuring and redundancy process could have been more transparent and better managed to reduce stress for affected employees. The bureaucratic nature of a large organization was also a challenge at times.
