Life long friendships are made, you might get to see some really cool countries, good way to get your foot in the door with whatever career path you are planning to take.
Cons
They will use any possible opportunity to screw you over so they don't have to give you your benefits. It isn't like the civilian world, there is no such thing as "fair". If your boss doesn't like you? Too bad, you won't advance. If he really doesn't like you? Oh, you were late to work, get out of my Navy.
