Pros

- You can learn a lot from technical perspective. - TLs are ok since they are basically engineers that supervise engineers and are in the same boat (overworked and underpaid) - Work from home

Cons

- Extremely high volume of work! - No benefits - Management has no interest in employees, their moto is only take more tickets, work, work work - I was supposed to receive 6 months&1 year welcome bonuses. Every single time they "forgot" to pay them. Had to make a scene and raise ticket with HR to remind them of our contract! - Underpaid for what you are expected to do - No possibilities of promotions - No possibilities of raises - Poor Middle&High Management - Work schedule is a nightmare - Phone shift - a total failure that makes the SLAs in the contracts negotiated with Customers useless. If a customer has a 2 days SLA (negotiated and paid for) they can simply call and have their ticket handled in less than 10 minutes. What is the point to this? - Case shift? It's just a fancy word for "we don't know how to properly handle all the incoming tickets and we are understaffed" - Poor support from higher tech tiers. - No work - life balance - Useless KPIs, targets and objectives

Pros

- Friendly teammates that are willing to help

Cons

Where to begin? - Since starting at Veeam, the internal IT Support team has been cut to a THIRD of it's original size. From an original team of 10+ people, only 3 of the core team remain. Three USA members are left to support over 2,000+ USA employees and try to solve the flood of tickets that arrive in the ServiceDesk queue. - These last layoffs which I was a part of, 1 desktop support engineer, 1 support manager and myself were laid off. - My role was replaced by TWO other service desk analysts in Costa Rica that are getting paid pennies. Both of them combined make less than the salary I had. - Veeam is trying to cut costs anywhere they can, all while making record profits - Technology leadership doesn't listen to input from lower level management on pain points or suggestions on how to improve work-flow or help out the internal IT team - US-based IT employees never received any promotions. All employee promotions from the global IT team happened in Prague / Bucharest offices. - Absolutely no room for career advancement. Managers don't support growth. They silo you into a specific role and work you like a horse.
