How do you run faster than the competition that is already ahead of you when you cut off a foot? It is death by a thousand cuts, and they are already at 999,999 cuts. Sadly the 4th CEO in the last 4 years is excellent at fixing the bottom line, so this once former industry leader is now a poor piggy getting lipstick for the auction. Good for Carlyle, sad for anyone still left associated with the truly proud and once great company.
