Pros
Working on new products, with new technologies is very exciting. It feels great to be put in a position of control when things are so new. I feel like my voice is heard and my experiences are valued. It's refreshing. Due to our structure, engagement with technical leadership (technical directors/distinguished engineers) occurs daily, making it fantastic to absorb valuable skills and mindset. Engineers are also compelled to engage with executive ranks as necessary to get their jobs done effectively. I feel like my manager is very helpful in getting my tasks completed, and removing blockers.
Cons
New product development is scary. More insights from the product teams and customer feedback would be helpful in easing any concerns. To their benefit, they've been working on this.
