Pros
The customer experience and employee satisfaction are high due to the ability of the team to give voice (Frontier movement). Great for having a trusted and well recognized company delivering quality healthcare. In a great position to influence positive changes in the healthcare system and optimize care.
Cons
The pursuit of KPIs, non-stop work, not enough advancement opportunities, being managed by managers who are exterior hires or have no job experience in the area they are managing (Non-pharmacist District managers managing pharmacy etc.). Walgreens US brings in 90% of the global revenue but is run by global managers (Boots Alliance management) which is generating friction with old Walgreens managers (and hence the high turnover in management).
