Pros

Pre-Walgreens Acquisition: - Great environment where team and individual contributions meant something and made a difference - Tight purse strings, team-driven goals, and dedicated personnel lead to real innovation, creativity, and satisfaction as we achieved our goals together Post-Walgreens Acquisition: - We were told the acquisition was based on the talent and value of our team's deep intellect, creativity, and ecommerce expertise, thus we were excited about the increased support, resources, and recognition (this lasted for about a month)

Cons

Pre-Walgreens Acquisition: - Long hours and tight resources Post- Walgreens Acquisition: - Manipulative personalities from the supposed acquisition integration team poisoned the positive can-do attitudes of the people who remained and were not laid-off right away (talent acquisition? Really?) - Management from Chicago/Deerfield say one thing then do another and could not be trusted nor do they exhibit the insight, experience, support, dedication, and respect they claim to provide - Certain individuals have been allowed to lie, cheat, and steal with no repercussions, yet are empowered to adversely affect the employment status of others - What was once a scrappy, dedicated team of professionals driven to innovate, succeed, and deliver results has been reduced to a few worn out employees who fear for there jobs (lots of sub-standard work ethics and back-stabbing), don't trust Walgreens management, and watch the company they built be reduced to nothing, losing money hand-over-fist.

Pros

Gave me decent pay. Bought us little gifts and food at holidays.

Cons

Gave away one of my paychecks to another employee and refused to reimburse me because of issues with "their bank." My RxM created a hostile work environment showing clear favoritism for employees. Eventually, HR got involved, and I was no longer scheduled with him. I did not ask for this change, and actively resented it, because now I had fewer hours, meaning less pay on top of the $500 corporate had already stolen from me. They had no interest in training me or anyone else to become certified as promised. Over and over again, they hired people, ran out the time on their licenses, and let techs choose between paying to get certified elsewhere, or losing their jobs. The only thing Walgreens was passionate about was convincing patients that they couldn't even provide their regular medications to get vaccines. Often unneeded. The "patient care" calls are blatant and illegal marketing for vaccines, since Walgreens makes it next to impossible for a patient to opt out of it. I would NEVER get my medications here after seeing how poorly everything is managed, how unethical company policies and patient health were regarded, and how mistreated the staff were.
