Pros

I loved the people that I worked with in my department. I was an unloaded so it was strenuous work but I enjoyed it and we joked a lot to pass the time since it was a simple task. My manager was great and we got an hour for lunch along with two fifteen minute breaks to do with what we wished.

Cons

The management in other departments treated us like pack miles because we were unloaders and management was very lax and unorganized when dealing with people not in their department. They wouldn't work with my school schedule and often wanted me to stay later than my shift even though I had class the next morning. They wouldn't hire anyone else despite us being understaffed frequently and would get upset that we weren't performing tasks quickly enough because we lacked the manpower. There was a lack of communication between management and employees.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
