Good Pay but that’s It - Stock Associate Walmart Employee Review

Pros

• Great Pay. Stocking teams make $17+ an hour. • Teamwork focused job • Good Hours. Almost guaranteed 40 hours every week. • VERY ACTIVE. If you’re not used to it, it will be hard but I personally enjoy it.

Cons

• The customers are a nightmare to work with sometimes. Especially if you work the front end of the store (but luckily that’s not stocking teams). • If you have a complaint, management will take days or even weeks to change it or they don’t even bother. • DIRTY. You will be smelling smells you’ve never smelled before and ones you’ll never want to smell again. My jeans always leave the store covered in gray dust and dirt from the floors. • Walmart hires EVERYONE and I mean literally everyone. I have personally dealt with some of the creepiest, scariest, and more hate filled people. Some still work there no matter how many complaints from workers there are. Management will only move them to a different part of the store instead of firing.

Pros

Fairly easy work (besides heavy loads and multiples of something), less customer facing than other roles

Cons

The usual when working at a grocery store

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
